On this page you’ll find the index for everything related to LC Paper 1. For everything else – Paper 2, MSM students and Junior Cert use the tabs on the right side. For more about me (Evelyn O’ Connor, MSM Claremorris) use the about button, or your imagination. Feel free to make stuff up!
You won’t find a huge amount of notes here for Paper 2 – there are more than enough out in the ether already. However, do check out unseen poetry , poetic techniques and terminology, studied poetry questions, comparative essay structure, Hamlet as tragic hero , Macbeth quotes and how much to write.
My advice if you want to do well in Paper 1 is to practise writing in each category and then ask someone (a teacher, parent or sickeningly talented classmate) to look over it for you. If you can figure out what mistakes you tend to make you can set about correcting them. Here’s the Paper 1 index:
